We Are Human is an artistic and critical platform exploring the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence.
“Recognition of the inherent dignity of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.”
Preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, December 10, 1948.
Today, in the face of accelerating technologies and the vertigo of algorithms, these rights are not archives, but living reference points to imagine the future.
We Are Human Festival is an international film festival in the age of artificial intelligence, grounded in human rights. It takes place in Paris on November 24, 2026, at the Forum des images. We Are Human explores the relationships between creation, technology, and humanity. Through cinema and hybrid forms, the festival transforms the Universal Declaration of Human Rights into a space for contemporary exploration: one edition, one article, one living tension. Each call for films is an invitation: to question code through the lens of the human experience, and to imagine more just, inclusive, and responsible futures.

We Are Human Festival brings together artists, filmmakers, researchers and audiences in Paris around works that examine the impact of artificial intelligence on our societies, our imaginaries and our cultures. Through screenings, talks and discussions, the festival creates a unique space to explore new forms of audiovisual creation and question the role of technology in the contemporary world.
We Are Human is not a technology festival. It is an artistic and committed festival that places human rights at the heart of contemporary creation in the age of AI. It brings together independent filmmakers, visual artists, collectives and creators from around the world, united by a shared conviction: artificial intelligence must not redefine the world without carrying a human vision.
Rooted in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the We Are Human international festival is built over 30 editions: one edition, one article.
The first edition in 2026 is dedicated to Article 1:
"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights."
Each subsequent edition will explore, year after year, each of the 30 articles of the Declaration building a unique global archive of hybrid human / AI creation in dialogue with human rights.
TThe festival opens in Paris on 24 November 2026 at the Forum des images, its official partner, then travels to partner venues around the world: São Paulo, New York, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Mumbai, Quito and Geneva.
At each stop, the films are screened and followed by a discussion rooted in local issues. An international ambition, from the very first edition.
In partnership with the City of Saint-Mandé, We Are Human comes to Cresco on 14 January 2027. In the afternoon, middle and high school students take part in an "AI & Ethics" workshop. In the evening, a free screening and discussion is open to all, with booking required.
