The We Are Human Festival brings together films, artists, experts and audiences around the issues of artificial intelligence, audiovisual creation and human rights.
The festival presents an international selection of films from the open call, exploring the relationships between artificial intelligence, creation and society. Fiction, documentary, experimental works: each screening highlights new forms of storytelling and questions the impact of technology on our collective imagination. This first edition is framed around Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights."
The selected works engage with this founding principle, exploring the tensions, hopes and contemporary transformations brought about by artificial intelligence.
Four thematic workshops, open to all with no prior knowledge required, designed to help participants understand and experiment with generative AI in creative practice. Each workshop is led by a digital creation professional. Limited capacity. Free registration required.
Special attention is paid to equal opportunity: the festival works in partnership with schools, associations and support organisations to enable young people in difficulty and those with limited access to digital tools to participate fully. Because understanding AI is a right, not a privilege.
Encounters with filmmakers, artists, researchers and professionals will deepen the issues raised by the works on show. These exchanges open a dialogue between artistic creation, technological innovation and critical reflection on contemporary transformations.
The festival offers conferences addressing the major questions surrounding artificial intelligence: bias and ethics, impact on the cultural industries, new forms of creation, social and political stakes. Each conference brings together researchers, creators, legal experts and AI ecosystem stakeholders — 45 minutes of discussion followed by 15 minutes of audience exchange. A space to step back and fuel collective reflection.
The day closes with an awards ceremony honouring the most outstanding works of the festival.
By invitation with registration.
Three prizes are awarded by the jury:
· Grand Prix — €5,000
· Best Screenplay Award — €3,000
· Ethics Award — €2,000
The winning films embody artistic commitment and the capacity to question the world through the lens of human rights.
