International screenings

Meaning is born from confrontation.

We Are Human was born from a simple observation: a film about human rights does not carry the same meaning depending on where it is seen.

It is not the world that comes to the festival. It is the festival that goes to meet the world.

A festival designed as a mirror of the world

In Paris, the symbolic home of the Declaration of the Rights of Man, a founding selection is presented. But the festival does not stop there. The same selection then travels across the world, where it is confronted with different political, social and cultural realities.

In each territory, works are reinterpreted, debates are grounded in local context, perspectives diverge. These are not reprises. These are rereadings.

Meaning is not decreed. It is built.

We Are Human does not seek to gather the world in a single place, but to organise the circulation of perspectives. Each stop transforms how the works are perceived. Each debate reveals another reading. Each territory shifts the centre of gravity. We Are Human is an international platform for critical confrontation around human rights, creation and artificial intelligence.
